Our History

Colegios Arenas is a private independent educational organization which runs three co-educational schools In the Canary Islands. Founded more than 70 years ago it has attained a reputation as one of the leading private organizations providing high standard education in the region. Over the years, more than 50.000 students have been taught at our schools. One of the reasons for doing so is the school's strong emphasis in bilingual education, enabling its students to develop and enhance their skills and capabilities in both working languages: Spanish and English.The school provides tuition to children aged 2 to 18, with English being taught from the very first stage.

In the 70´s it becomes one of the first educational institutions in adopting the bilingual model within the Spanish State. The schools pioneered a special focus in modern languages but maintain high academic standards and a drive to provide a broad and balanced education.

Colegios Arenas is a group of four schools: Colegio Arenas (Las Palmas de GC, Gran Canaria), Colegio Arenas Sur (San Agustín, Gran Canaria), Colegio Arenas Internacional (Costa Teguise, Lanzarote) and its new school Colegio Arenas Atlántico (Arucas, Gran Canaria).

Arenas Albéniz is a Music School that operates within the structure of Colegio Arenas but also accepts external students.

Sulis Manor is a residential centre situated in Bath (UK) providing specially tailored intensive English language courses and leisure programmes.
